Water-Recovered Old Growth Timber
This product is very environmentally friendly, but it’s the story of its origin that makes this line of wood doors unique and very interesting as well. Late in the 1800’s and early 1900’s, loggers cut old-growth timber around the Great Lakes, some trees as old as 1,000 years; and transported them to sawmills by floating them on the Lakes and rivers. Some became water logged and sank. The cold water preserved the logs, and today they are being retrieved and harvested. RS Cabinet Doors has an available supply of this material to create beautiful wood products that will enhance the beauty of your client’s home as well as provide a rich history. Species available include Oak, Maple, Birch and Beech.

Bamboo
Bamboo is also a very green product mainly because of its incredible growth rate, and therefore, is rapidly renewable. In optimum conditions, it can grow up to 3 feet per day, so it usually has a 5-7 year life cyle. Bamboo is actually a member of the grass family and is available in Natural or Carbonized.
